Strengthening Families

for Parents, Caregivers, and Youth (ages10-14)

Who:  Designed for all parents or caregivers and their youth between the ages of 10-14 (child care is provided for younger siblings who want to come with the family)

 What:   The Strengthening Families Program is a fun, interactive 7-week program focused on providing parents/caregivers and their youth (ages 10-14) the opportunity to help parents build on their strengths in showing love and setting limits and help youth develop skills in handling peer pressure and building a positive future.  Sessions include videos, role-playing, games and skill-building activities designed to strengthen the family core.  Each session begins with a complimentary family meal.   Parents and youth spend the first part of each session meeting separately under the direction of parent and youth facilitators. The last hour the two groups join one another to participate in interactive skill building and bonding activities.

 No Cost:  Participants are able to take advantage of this program at no charge.  An evening meal and childcare for younger siblings is also provided. 

ADDED BONUS!!  We have Walmart gift cards to give to families that sign up and attend sessions!!   Must attend full sessions to receive gift cards.  We also have many other incentives for attending!
