Together For Jackson County Kids was selected to receive a "Standing Up for Rural Schools, Libraries, and Communities" award.  We were nominated by Barb Blackdeer-Mackenzie, who is a member of the Rural Task Force.  This is a tremendous honor, one which recognizes our collaborative efforts with partners in the community.  Thank you Barb for your nomination and coalition support.

There was a special award program that took place in Madison on Monday, February 22nd, 2010.  The day began at 10am with a welcome reception at the Concourse Hotel, followed by the award ceremony at the State Capitol, starting promptly at 12pm.  Follow this link for more information, video, and pictures  http://www.dpi.wi.gov/rural/index.html
